And just like that, another year, another decade in the books. Or, if you’re like me, another decade for the scrapbooks! I say “for” the scrapbooks instead of “in” the scrapbooks because it’s rare that we memory keeper types ever achieve what we perceive as “caught up”. I’m not convinced there is such a thing as “caught-up” in this sport of scrapbooking, nor do I believe there should be. Life happens all around us every second of every day. How we interact with the highs and lows is entirely up to us. How we choose to tell our stories is of our own choosing as well. There are endless possibilities. Thats the beauty of memory keeping .
So, instead of the usual New Years resolution (I actually gave those up years ago), I’ve decided to expand my horizons in memory keeping. I want to do much of the same thing I’ve been doing since high school, I just want to do some of it differently. Spice it up, if you will!
My first step along that path is participating in an online class called 20 in 20 taught by one of my storytelling heros, Stacy Julian. I’ve been a fan since discovering her Photo Freedom method several years ago and, have had the pleasure of meeting her twice over the last eight years. Stacy hasn’t revealed exactly what our 20 projects are, but the end result will be 20 projects that help participants acheive storytelling goals. With her guidance, I just know I’ll have some exciting things to share and archive.
If you might be interested in joining Stacy Julian and her 20 in 20 adventure, you can find all the details right here.
Cheers to a new year, a new decade, and much happiness and success to all!
